Questions?

For young people

To leave feedback, just search for the service you visited in the blank box above the “Find Help” box on the homepage. Once you have found the right service click on them to view their profile page.

At the bottom of their page there is an option to give feedback in a purple box. All feedback is anonymous, but we ask everyone to give their email address so that Find Get Give can get in touch if the feedback doesn’t meet our guidelines. (Please see “What kind of feedback should I write” to read our guidelines)

We ask you to think about our feedback guidelines when you’re writing a comment to a service. If your feedback doesn’t meet these guidelines, a member of the team will let you know and support you to re-write your feedback.

Guidelines

Fair- We ask that you don’t single out, name or target any one person in your feedback. Make sure your comments talk about the service you received rather than anything personal about a worker. Please see below for an example-

OK– “I didn’t feel like the worker understood me and I didn’t feel they helped”

NOT OK– “Sarah at this service is rubbish at her job and didn’t help me.”

Find Get Give does not tolerate cyberbullying or trolling.

Truthful- Please stick to the facts when you’re writing a comment, remember that feedback is given to help improve a service, as well as letting other young people know what to expect.

Safe- Find Get Give is committed to making sure this site is a safe space for everyone. Any comments that include swearing, sexually explicit or abusive language, language that encourages illegal or harmful behaviour, or any other content that is seen as unsafe will not be published.

If Find Get Give has any reason to believe that you or someone else is at serious risk of harm based on what you have written, staff will take reasonable steps to ensure the safety of you or others. This could involve contacting relevant people or services, including emergency response services like the police.

Clear- Remember that people of different ages and abilities may be reading your feedback. Try and keep language simple and clear and stay away from using complicated words or slang.

Helpful- Please make sure that the feedback you give is helpful to the service. If you experienced any issues when you visited a service, try and include what they could have done to improve things in your feedback. This is more useful than just saying you had a bad experience.

Feedback is not automatically displayed on the site after you submit it. If your comment meets our feedback guidelines we will aim to post it on the site as quickly as possible.
If your feedback doesn’t meet our guidelines a member of our team will get in touch and offer you support to re-write your comment.

Find Get give is a website for all young people. This website cannot be used to diagnose mental health conditions and the information on this site is not intended as a substitute for advice and treatment from a qualified medical professional. If you aren’t sure what support you need, we recommend speaking to a health professional, like your GP as a first step. Doc Ready is a website that can help you prepare to speak to your GP about your mental health.

Find Get Give is an England-wide directory of mental health services for young people, primarily aged between 13-25. Therefore the site only lists services that have a specific mental health or wellbeing function for young people that fall within this age category.

Find Get Give prioritises services that are free to young people. We take necessary steps to ensure that this website is a safe and appropriate space for all users; this means that we may request further information about your service to enable your profile to remain on the site.

A service being listed on Find get Give does not imply that this service is in any way endorsed by Find Get Give.

If you are unsure whether your service is appropriate to be listed on the site, please contact us here.

When you register on Find Get Give, you will be sent an email with your log in details. When you return to the site please log in by clicking on the orange” log in” tab at the bottom of the homepage. You will then be able to edit all information that appears on your service page.

Young people who visit your service page on Find Get Give can chose to give feedback on your service at the bottom of your page along with a star rating.

Comments are left anonymously and don’t automatically post to the site. Services are responsible for moderating reviews on their profile page and must do so in line with our feedback guidelines (see below question- how do I moderate?)

Find Get Give regularly checks all content and will respond to any services not acting in accordance with our guidelines.

Please make sure that all feedback falls within the below guidelines. Find Get Give encourages young people to leave honest, constructive feedback. Services cannot exclude comments if they fall within guidelines but are not seen as wholly positive.

Each service will have the opportunity to send one response to a review left by a young person, once their comment is published on the site. This response can be added in a box below the young person’s review. It’s important to acknowledge all feedback about your service where possible. If a young person leaves negative feedback (that falls within guidelines) please acknowledge this and encourage a further conversation offline.

Yes, Find Get Give is looking for a variety of submissions to the website from services and professionals. We are interested in receiving blogs/vlogs from workers that are helpful to young people in terms of mental health and wellbeing. We do not accept blogs/vlogs that solely aim to promote a service.

You can also contribute by filling out our “Meet A Worker” blog template. This is a standard template that we send you. If you are interested in blogging/vlogging for Find get Give, please contact us here.
